Terms of Use
These terms apply to your use of the Pureico website at pureico.intercepth.dev (“Pureico”), run by Intercepth (“we”, “us”). By using Pureico you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
The service
Pureico is a free tool that converts images into icon files such as .ico,
.icns and PNG. It runs in your web browser. We may change, suspend or stop
offering it at any time, without notice.
Your images and the files you create
You keep all rights to the images you use and the files you create. Pureico processes them on your device and we never receive them, as described in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for having the right to use and convert the images you add. Do not use Pureico to copy logos, artwork or other material that you do not own or have permission to use.
Acceptable use
Do not use Pureico for anything unlawful, and do not try to disrupt, overload, attack or gain unauthorized access to the website or the services that host it.
Open-source software
Pureico’s source code is published under the MIT License on GitHub. That license governs your use of the source code; these terms govern your use of the website. Pureico includes third-party software and fonts under their own licenses, listed in the third-party notices.
No warranty
Pureico is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the website will always be available or error-free, or that the files it produces will work with every program or operating system. Keep copies of your original images and check generated files before relying on them.
Limitation of liability
Pureico is a free tool, so we limit what we can be held responsible for. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or revenue, arising from your use of Pureico or your inability to use it. In any case, the most we will be liable for, for all claims relating to Pureico combined, is 50 US dollars.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranties to be excluded or liability to be limited, so some of these limits may not apply to you.
Donations
Support through Ko-fi is voluntary. It does not buy any product, service or special access. Donations are processed by Ko-fi under its own terms, and refunds are handled under Ko-fi’s policies and applicable law.
Trademarks
Windows is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation. macOS is a trademark of Apple Inc. Chrome is a trademark of Google LLC. Ko-fi, GitHub and other names mentioned on this website are trademarks of their respective owners. Pureico is an independent project and is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by any of them.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when they are published on this page with a new effective date. If you keep using Pureico after that, you accept the updated terms.
